Dealing With Exam Stress!

Stress stress stress stress and more stress. I swear that's all that I gain from school! Not really haha but in all seriousness stress is such a stupid and annoying thing and I hate it. I mean of course a little stress can act like a motivator but too much and I just crash and burn. I hope you can relate haha but I thought I'd give you some tips for dealing with stress seeing as I managed to survive my exams (thank God) so obviously I am the stress master. Jokes I'm really not, but I'll  tell you what I DID do that made me stressed so then you don't do it and then you will be happy :)

Tip Number 1:

DON'T PROCRASTINATE!!

I procrastinated so so much during exams and it literally got me nowhere. I have to admit this blog is a way to procrastinate but I am helping people so its ok ;). What I did was sit on twitter all day, along with having notifications turned on for everything so that whenever my phone vibrated I would feel obliged to check it. I can tell you this is not a good idea, in fact it is a very terrible idea. To avoid distractions I would recommend turning off your phone, but in all seriousness who is actually going to do that, so maybe just turn off vibrate when your phone is on silent so that you don't realize that your getting notifications or messages etc.

I found this video really funny :)

Tip Number 2:

BE ORGANISED

If I had a picture of my desk I would not show you because it is a literal pigsty. It has gotten to the point that my friends show their parents pictures of my desk to prove the point that their desk is actually not that messy. Its kinda sad hahaha. Anyway the point is that in order to avoid stressing about where things are or becoming super overwhelmed by all these books and papers everywhere just be organized and tidy. Have little trays for each subject to put stuff in (I actually do have this but I just don't use them haha) or just put stuff away after using it. I really need to listen to my own advice don't I.....

Tip Number 3:

KNOW WHEN YOUR EXAMS ARE

I just thought I'd throw this one it because its always good to know when to turn up to school to do your exams, y'know it might be handy :P People actually did turn up late to exams and this is not a good idea because it just causes you more stress. Also another good thing to note is to not turn up too early to your exam. This is the chain of events: You turn up realllyyy early, you talk to your friend, you say 'test me', they ask you a questions e.g 'What is the square root of pie times 8975 divided by 9' (this is just a random qu. btw) and then your freak out and basically die before the exam - not good. Just chill or listen to music before hand to get you in the zone.

Tip Number 4:

BE POSITIVE

Even when you may think you did horrible or are having a mental breakdown (I had many a mental breakdown during my exams haha) just think that it is only one exam in the multitude of ones that you will do. There will be another chance sooner or later to redeem yourself and you may have actually done better than you thought. This has happened to me sooo many times when I've thought I did horrible but actually ended up doing ok. Just be happy :)

Ok, so thats all I can think of at the moment. This probably didn't help at all but oh well.

xx Milly
